Dhani Harrison and the ukulele is a connection that has been true since the artist's early years, so it's no wonder that Fender decided to partner with Dhani Harrison to produce two electroacoustic signature ukulele models. The instruments are available in tenor size in Sapphire Blue and Turquoise.
The body of the ukulele is made of ovangkol, while the soundboard is made of solid wood. The back plate is decorated with engravings. A walnut fingerboard with nineteen frets is glued to the nato wood neck. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by decorative position markers in the shape of the phases of the moon. The strings are mounted in the company's open nickel mechanics in typical Fender design and walnut fingerboard.
Sound reinforcement is provided by active electronics with integrated tuner. The ukulele comes in a gig bag.
