Fender 60's Statocaster Lush Closet Classic (DLX CC) Fire Mist Gold - R127881 is a masterbuilt instrument from the Fender Custom Shop, made for you by master guitar maker David Brown. The Deluxe Closet Classic finish, with subtle elements of faux patina signed in the lacquer and on the hardware, matches the look of a conscientiously cared for instrument that has rarely been taken out of its case in decades.
The two-piece alder body is adorned with a Firemist Gold finish. Glued to the rift-sawn maple neck with a period "60s style Oval C" profile is a AAA-quality rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-one Medium Jumbo/6150 frets and micarta position markers. The fretboard radius flattens towards the neck - allowing for more comfortable fast playing at higher fretboard positions and performing techniques such as note pulling/bending.
Three hand-wound 60s Strat single-coil pickups by Josefina Campos (the middle one has reversed polarity and windings) give the guitar a distinctive Strat sound and feel. The character of the sound can be adjusted using the standard knobs, and you can switch between pickups with a five-position switch. The strings are anchored by vintage-style tuning machines via a bone fretboard and a synchronized Strat tremolo.
The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
