The finish of the instrument, which the manufacturer calls Distressed, successfully imitates the years spent in the corners of rehearsal rooms, on concert stages and properly wild parties. The body of the guitar is made of mahogany, the glued neck made of three pieces of mahogany with a narrower Thin U profile is joined by a fingerboard made of Makasar ebony fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. White position dots and side luminescent markers make it easy to navigate.
EMG passive signature humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico IV magnets give the guitar the necessary drive with punchy mids and good sound articulation. Two volume potentiometers, a tone shutter and a three-position pickup switch are used for standard adjustments. The strings are mounted in quality Gotoh mechanics and a solid TOM tailpiece and stringers.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
