The body of the guitar is made of mahogany. The three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, and a Thin U profile is joined by a fingerboard made of Makasar ebony fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. You'd look in vain for position markers on the fingerboard - they don't fit the dark concept.
The Blackened Black Winter passive humbucker offers good distortion, high output and a typically cool "Scandinavian" tone. Good tone, sustain and tuning stability are guaranteed by the company's quality LTD Locking mechanisms and string attachment in the string holder. Hardware and the company logo on the headstock in dark black underline the stylish design of the instrument.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. The popularity of these instruments has also led to the creation of the LTD subsidiary, which offers popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
