The ESP E-II ECLIPSE See Thru Black Cherry Sunburst is an electric guitar in a traditional single-cut (LP) design. The mahogany body of the guitar is adorned with a fancy flame maple top supported by a See Thru Black Cherry Sunburst finish and perimeter binding. Glued to the mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeper into the body, is an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets. Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by position blocks and an ESP inlay on the twelfth fret.
Two active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers with ceramic and Alnico magnets provide the guitar with a great dynamic sound (without any accompanying noise) with precise articulation of individual notes/chords and, if needed, a sufficient amount of punch/aggressiveness. The push/pull function of the volume knob allows you to switch between voicings - the guitar's sonic arsenal is thus much wider than it might first appear. A three-position pickup switch completes the controls as standard.
The strings are anchored in locking Gotoh tuning machines and through the Gotoh TOM bridge in the stringers. The guitar comes in a carrying case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
