The ESP E-II Eclipse Full Thickness Vintage Honey Burst is an electric guitar in a traditional single-cut (LP) design with a solid, full-thickness body with no relief. The mahogany body of the guitar is adorned with a solid maple top (maple cap) and a spectacular flamed maple veneer top backed by a Vintage Honey Burst finish. The mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deep into the body, is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks and ESP inlay on the twelfth fret.
The classic combination of a Seymour Duncan JB higher output "hot" humbucker and PAF pickups inspired by the 59 neck humbucker will give you both a big "heavy" sound and a warm round, but still articulate, clean tone. The push/pull tone-shutter function expands the guitar's tonal palette of sounds with single-coil character. This allows the guitar to be used in a wide range of musical styles.
The strings are anchored by Gotoh locking mechanisms and the Gotoh TOM tailpiece and stringer.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera.
