BOSS OC-5

The Boss OC-5 Octave takes the best of the legacy of Boss' older monophonic and polyphonic OC octavers and takes their capabilities to the next level. It offers two different function modes - Vintage mod replicates the legendary OC-2 monophonic pedal popular with guitarists and bassists alike, with tracking of the played line in the lower two octaves, while Poly mode develops the idea introduced by the OC-3 Super Octave box and lets you play chords with tracking of every note played (the Range control lets you set the filter for deep notes only - simply accompanying chords and melodies in the upper register with an octave bass line). In both modes, you can also use the Octave Up effect - without the added sub-octave effect, it allows you to successfully simulate the sound of a twelve-string guitar, while in the mix with deep octaves you'll add even more fullness and depth to the sound.

Of course, using the latest tracking technology, all notes and chords sound true to life with natural fels and zero latency. The Mode switch optimizes tracking for guitar or bass (the OC-5 can also be used with acoustic guitar). The pedal's standard mono in/out extends Direct Out for Dry/Wet engagement.

All electronics are housed in a durable chassis. The pedal operates in buffered bypass mode. Power is supplied by a 9V battery or 9V PSA adapter (not included).
