The BOSS ME-90 guitar multieffect is the most advanced model yet in the long-standing BOSS ME series. It offers exceptional sound quality thanks to 24-bit AD/DA converters, a 32-bit floating point processor and 48 kHz sampling rate, 11 built-in AIRD amp models and 60 different effects derived from the flagship BOSS GT-1000, IR loading, an effects loop, easy creation of pedal-style effects sounds with an intuitive interface, a dedicated amp section and seven effect blocks that can be used simultaneously, eight multi-function footswitches, a newly redesigned expression pedal, 36 presets/patches and 36 user presets/patches to save your own settings.
The multi-effect operates in Manual mode with pedalboard-style controls and Memory mode, where you switch between complete patch/preset settings. Via the USB-C connector you connect to the BOSS Tone Studio app and DAW (recording, playback). In BOSS Tone Studio, of course, you also get access to more advanced editing of individual parameters, a database of other guitars and effects that you can swap for existing ones, and a host of other features.
Using the ME-90 IR Loader software for Windows/macOS, three user IR speakers can be loaded into the multieffect. You can download and share ME-90 Livesets in BOSS Tone Exchange, and editing sounds and streaming audio from mobile iOS or Android devices is made possible by an optional dual Bluetooth Audio MIDI adapter (not included). A switch on the rear panel optimizes audio outputs for guitar amps or FR sound systems.
Use four AA batteries or the PSA-S Series adapter (not included) to power the BOSS ME-90.
