The Boss DS-1W pedal effect from the Waza Craft series is an extended version of the legendary Boss DS-1 distortion effect. Now you can choose between the classic DS-1 pedal sound exposed on a fully analog circuit with altered two-level gain and Custom mode/voicing, in which the box offers even fuller distortion, more clarity in the midrange and greater dynamic sensitivity. All the pros, such as good sonic articulation even at maximum distortion, have been retained, so that thick rock and metal riffs and vocal solos or ultra-fast guitar shred sound just as good.
The pedal can also be used as a booster/overdrive (with the distortion turned down to minimum) to add more drive to an already distorted amp sound. The pedal's three Level, Tone and Distortion knobs offer completely intuitive controls that even a complete beginner can handle. The box, like all pedals in current Boss production, operates in Buffered Bypass mode. A 9V battery or 9V adapter is required for power.
