Arturia's popular Minibrute analogue synth brings a second oscillator, a second LFO, new filter and VCO modulation options, a loopable envelope, and most importantly a massive patchbay that allows the sound to be heavily modulated both within Minibrute 2 and with external sources. There's a built-in sequencer, arpeggiator, keyboard with aftertouch or MIDI and USB for DAW connectivity. The Minibrute 2 is reminiscent of a Swiss Army knife in its functionality and can be just as sharp.
With two oscillators, the Minibrute2's sound is very flexible. The ratio of the individual waveforms can be adjusted via the mixer and there is also a direct FM control. The Steiner-Parker filter offers LP, BP, HP and notch modes as well as self-oscillating resonance.
For sound modulation, there's a pair of LFOs with six waveforms and the ability to sync with a sequencer, an ADSR and AD envelope that can be looped and switched between Gate and Trigger modes, and most importantly a patchbay that features 48 CV inputs. You can easily rearrange and modulate the Minibrute's internal architecture to the point of fatigue using it. You'll find a few patch cables in the box, but of course the synth works without them.
Arturia's Brute series of analogue synthesizers has received a new limited edition Noir edition, which dresses the popular instruments in black.
The Sequencer/Arpeggiator resembles the layout of the popular Keystep, and via MIDI and USB you can easily sync it with your favorite DAW or other i synths.
The keyboard offers 25 dynamically responsive keys with aftertouch and extends over five octaves with transpose buttons.
