The guitar's construction is made of mahogany wings with maple top and a three-piece mahogany neck. The body, top and neck are covered with black lacquer. Twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets divide the Ebony Macassar fingerboard. Mother-of-pearl position dots facilitate orientation on the fingerboard.
Two EMG active humbuckers in the proven 81/60 combination give the guitar a juicy sound ideal for sharply chiseled rock/metal riffs as well as sing-along solos and ultra-fast shred. Its character can be adjusted using the volume potentiometer and three-position pickup switch.
Stable tuning and quick string changes are guaranteed by the strings' anchoring in the company's locking mechanisms and through the Gotoh TOM through-body bridge. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by imitation mother-of-pearl tuning pegs and white pickup covers and bezels, which contrast beautifully with the black body.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in more affordable designs.
