The HORIZON CTM '87 CANDY APPLE RED model features the arched alder body of ESP Horizon electric guitars from the late 80s and early 90s and a narrow through-maple neck construction. Twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets divide the Ebony Macassar fingerboard surface.
The combination of two Seymour Duncan pickups, a TB-5 Custom Trembucker and a "Strat style" Hot Rails single-coil humbucker with high output signal, gives the instrument's sound the necessary fullness, dynamics and precise articulation for singing solos or chord breakdowns, as well as the density and aggression for ultra-fast guitar shred and sharply chiseled rock and metal riffs. As a result, the instrument can be used in a wide range of musical genres, not just modern rock and metal. The push/pull tone shutter function can split the humbucker coils to achieve a single-coil sound.
The strings are mounted in the company's proprietary tuning machines and Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo, which you can use to add impressive sound effects to your playing. Locks on the zero fret ensure maximum tuning stability even with frequent use of the lever.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in more affordable designs.
