The XJ-1 HARDTAIL BLACK BLAST electric guitar with an elegant offset body shape is part of the LTD Deluxe series, which represents the best of LTD production. The sound, design, craftsmanship and playability of the instruments in this series fully stand up to comparison with more expensive "high-end" guitars.
The body of the guitar is made of swamp ash. A three-piece maple neck with a "Thin U" profile is bolted to an ebony macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets. The fingerboard orientation is facilitated by position blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl.
The Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic's active humbucker provides the guitar with awesome dynamics, a precisely defined tone and, thanks to the push/pull function of the volume potentiometer, three different voicings/sound characters (standard humbucker, hot-rodded humbucker and hotter single-coil character with a gently rewound coil) that allow you to move from jazz/blues and classic rock/hard rock to metal.
Stable tuning and quick string changes are guaranteed by their attachment in the LTD locking mechanisms and through the Hipshot headstock through the body. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by the black sandblasted finish of the ash body and black hardware.
