The body of the AE340FMH-MHS is made of veneered okoumé - solid wood front, solid wood back and sides. A rosewood fingerboard with 20 jumbo frets is glued to the exotic nyatoh neck. Carefully designed reduced X-M ribbing and rib placement ensures efficient transmission of string vibrations through the fingerboard to the body. The narrow "C" neck profile and rounded fingerboard edges provide players with greater playing comfort. An interesting feature is the specifically designed hole in the back of the instrument (A.I.R.port), which allows you to hear and feel what you are playing better.
The strings are held in die-cast 18:1 gear ratio mechanics and rosewood fingerboard via a bone fretboard and compensated saddle. Ibanez Advantage pegs offer the advantages over standard models in terms of ease of handling and firm string attachment. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by the white body surround, rosette composed of mother-of-pearl (abalone) and wood rings, position markers made of maple and mother-of-pearl (abalone), gold hardware and pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.
Sound pickups are handled by Ibanez Custom electronics with Volume and Tone controls and an Ibanez T-bar pickup.
