The body of the IRIS BK ukulele in Concert size is made of solid spruce front and laminated mahogany back and sides. The combination of spruce and mahogany gives the instrument a balanced balance of tonal clarity and warmth. A rosewood fingerboard with nineteen frets is glued to the okoumé neck. The strings are held in Der Jung mechanics and a rosewood fingerboard via the saddle and bone fretboard. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by a fancy pickguard, ivory perimeter binding and imitation mother-of-pearl rosette.
