CORT Gold-DC6 NAT

The Gold series of acoustic guitars represents the cutting edge of Cort production. Instruments from this series should not miss the attention of guitarists with high demands on the quality of workmanship.

Specifically, the Gold-DC6 NAT w/case model is a dreadnought-type electroacoustic guitar. The instrument's soundboard is made of solid Sitka spruce, which has undergone a special heat treatment before assembly (a torefaction process called ATV - Aged to Vintage). The result is the sound and look of decades of aged wood, yet it is a brand new model. The back and sides are made of solid mahogany, which accentuates the sound qualities of the all-solid body.

The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard with twenty frets. The rounded edges of the fingerboard enhance playing comfort. The stability of the neck and the overall construction of the instrument is enhanced by the walnut neck bracing and the DoubleLock connection to the body, which, together with a thin layer of UV lacquer and hand-picked Scalloped X ribbing, promotes the natural acoustic resonance of the wood.

Mounting the strings in the ebony fingerboard and routing them through the saddle and right bone fret ensures optimal vibration transfer to the body of the instrument and good sustain. Stability of tuning is ensured by Deluxe Vintage Gold mechanics in gold finish. The quality of the workmanship is underlined by traditional decorative elements in the form of ornate mother-of-pearl rosettes (Abalone), black trim complemented by perimeter bracing lines, mother-of-pearl position dots on the fingerboard, ebony pegs in the fingerboard and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell.

The Fishman Flex M Blend electronics take advantage of a combination of under-coil piezo pickup and microphone to faithfully capture the acoustic sound. Controls in the guitar's headstock adjust the mic/piezo pickup ratio, volume, EQ, and activate phase and built-in tuner functions.
