This Fender 1968 P-Bass is a masterbuilt instrument from the Fender Custom Shop, made for you by master guitarist Dennis Galuszka. The Closet Classic finish, with subtle elements of faux patina in the form of subtle oxidation of metal parts, fine surface scratches on the body and headstock, slight fading of plastic parts and an understated sheen, is meant to evoke an instrument that has rarely been taken out of its case over the decades or completely forgotten for long periods of time.
The body of the bass is made of heat-treated "baked" alder wood. Glued to the roasted maple quartersawn neck is a AAA quality rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Narrow Tall/6105 frets. A hand-wound (Josefina hand-wound) split single-coil 65-70 P Bass provides the instrument with a beautifully dynamic bass bottom end. Adjust the character of the sound using the volume and tone controls. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by Fender's vintage-style tuning machines and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard.
The bass comes in a carrying case with a strap and certificate of authenticity.
