Martin D-18 Satin Amberburst

The Standard Series line of American Martin guitars offers all-massive acoustic guitars made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, that carry the pure Martin DNA and nearly two centuries of the brand's legacy. You'll recognize the instruments in this series by their solid bodies made from premium materials such as genuine mahogany, and details such as the traditional Dovetail Neck Joint, reduced X ribbing, Antique White binding and open tuners.

The combination of a spruce soundboard with a back and sides made from genuine mahogany (Swietenia woods - Honduran, American/Cuban or Mexican mahogany) gives the Dreadnought D-18 Satin Amberburst a rich, clear tone with a balanced balance of tonal clarity and warmth. The guitar's good acoustic properties are accentuated by the reduced X-rib (Scalloped Forward-Shifted X-Brace) front plate.

The mahogany neck is glued to an ebony fingerboard fitted with twenty frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by pearl position dots. Precise tuning and good sustain are guaranteed by the fit of the strings through the compensated saddle and the bone zero fret in the nickel open mechanism and ebony fingerboard. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by the satin finish of the body, the Amberburst top color, a rosette composed of black and white rings and a pickguard made of imitation tortoiseshell, which also protects the guitar's lacquer from scratches.
