Fender 64 Jazz Bass NOS Faded Sonic Blue is an electric bass from the Fender Custom Shop. This is an instrument made to similar specifications as the original 1960s models, including the NOS (New Old Stock) finish. It is a great choice for all the discerning musicians and connoisseurs who sometimes dream of what it would have been like to go to a shop in the 1960s USA and buy a brand new Fender Jazz Bass.
The body of the bass is made of two pieces of alder. Glued to the quartersawn maple neck is a AAA (9mm) rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Narrow Tall/6105 frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by front position and side micarta dots.
A pair of Vintage J-Bass pickups give the instrument the classic brighter sound of the J-Bass models, which you can tailor to your needs with two volume potentiometers and a tone control. The stylish workmanship is accentuated by a bone string attachment across the zero fret in vintage-style Fender tuning machines and a four-ply pickguard (64 J-Bass) made of imitation tortoiseshell.
The bass comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
