With a Cinemag transformer and plenty of expansion features, the Warm Audio Passive Direct Box is no ordinary DI. The Direct Box has been designed and manufactured to Warm Audio's high standards with an emphasis on affordability while maintaining premium quality. The DI converts high impedance unbalanced signals from guitar, bass and other instruments to low impedance symmetrical signals without degrading or altering the sound of your instrument in any way. The Warm Audio Passive Direct Box includes a variable pad adjustable by a rotary knob on the back with a range of -3 dB to -30 dB - so you can always set the optimal signal level and prevent distortion from being caused by overly powerful sources. The ground/lift switch in turn reduces unwanted hum caused by ground loops. Completely unique here is the Amp Out function you won't encounter with other DI boxes. The Amp Out input allows you to send the signal from your guitar or bass amp directly to the mixing console or audio interface.
Intuitive controls and useful connectivity
Connect your guitar, bass, keyboards or other high impedance instruments to the front panel of the Direct Box. The Thru Jack output is located next to it for easy line connection to your amplifier, and the converted signal exits the unit via a rugged XLR connector on the rear panel. Front panel switches include Phase, Ground Lift and Amp Out.
