JHS The AT+ is the signature overdrive/booster pedal of the famous guitar virtuoso Andy Timmons. It is a modification of the older AT overdrive/distortion pedal, where the distortion section is replaced by a booster (the overdrive circuit is the same). In this case, the effect draws inspiration from the company's Angry Charlie amp-in-box, or the juicy hard/heavy sound of the legendary British Marshall JCM800.
The box's individual controls faithfully simulate the behaviour of the real potentiometers of the aforementioned machine, with EQ functioning as a simplified version of a three-band EQ and Air as a Presence potentiometer, i.e. adding higher mids/highs to the sound. A three-position switch adjusts the pedal's feel to match the character and response of 25, 50 and 100-watt amps. The Boost section can be used alone before guitar amps and other overdrive pedals in an effects chain, or to kick up the overdrive circuitry of The AT+.
The pedal is wired as a true bypass and can be powered using 9-18V DC center negative adapters. The box draw corresponds to 15mA.
