The single-cut body of the EC-ARCTIC METAL SNOW WHITE SATIN is made of mahogany. A three-piece mahogany neck with a set-thru construction, i.e. a neck recessed deeper into the body, is joined by an Ebony Macassar fingerboard fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo stainless steel frets.
The EMG 81TW active humbucker provides the guitar's sound with the necessary density, fullness and aggressiveness of a humbucker, as well as the punch and articulation of a single-coil thanks to the ability to disconnect the humbucker coils (Push/Pull function of the volume potentiometer). The strings are mounted in the company's locking tuning machines (LTD Locking) and through a fixed Tonepros Locking TOM bridge in the stringers.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company LTD was created to offer popular models in an affordable version. Even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, however, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
