HOTONE Ampero

Ampero is a guitar multieffect from the Asian brand Hotone, which can easily replace a whole guitar rig. It offers 242 guitar effects from the XTOMP database (64 instrument modulations, 60 cabinet simulations, over 100 sounds of well-known pedal effects, original Hotone designs, acoustic guitar simulations and microphone simulations and settings), 198 presets (99 factory, 99 user), a built-in drum machine with 100 rhythm patterns, a looper with 100 seconds of recording time in mono (50 in stereo) and an integrated expression pedal. With a three-position electric/acoustic/FX input signal switch, the multieffect can be used not only with electric guitars and basses, but also with electroacoustic guitars or keyboards.

A simple user interface with four footswitches, three knobs and a four-inch touchscreen display lets you edit and organise individual patches quickly and easily - no more bouncing around bulky pedalboards. You can use up to nine effect modules simultaneously within an effect chain. Sound quality is guaranteed by 24-bit A/D/A converters, dual DSP processors, and CDCM (Comprehensive Dynamic Circuit Modeling) and F.I.R.E. (Field Impulse Response Enhancement) modeling technologies that respond to every change in the circuit, as opposed to fixed modeling algorithms.

In terms of I/O, the Hotone offers both a balanced XLR and unbalanced 6.3 mm stereo jack output from the multieffect, an input for an external expression pedal, an Aux In input, a headphone output, a MIDI controller input, and a USB port for interfacing with your computer/laptop DAW. The chassis of the multieffect is made of aluminium. The included 18V adapter is used for power supply.
