The front of the guitar is made from solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made from visually appealing layered Ziricote. Glued to the Select Hardwood neck is a 20-fret fingerboard made from a modern Richlite composite material. The guitar's good acoustic properties are accentuated by the traditional X-brace front plate.
The compensated TUSQ composite saddle on the Richlite headstock, together with the Corian fretboard, provides the strings with excellent resonance and sustain. The stylish look of the instrument is accentuated by a rosette with imitation mother-of-pearl ring, white binding and a practical pickguard that also protects the guitar's paintwork from scratches.
The instrument is supplied in a soft-shell case or soft gig bag - availability may vary.
The American Martin company, founded in 1833, is deservedly one of the biggest and most respected names in stringed instruments. For decades, it has been one of the leading innovators in guitar design and manufacturing technology. However, to use only the past tense would be a great mistake; instruments with the Martin logo are still today among the guarantees of the highest quality in craftsmanship and sound. In addition, their current products use "eco-friendly" components made from renewable resources and composite materials.
