The YEV-105 electric violin is a novelty from the Yamaha workshops and the result of the use of the most modern technologies in woodworking, thanks to which this instrument will delight both modern players and fans of violin-making tradition.
The body of the violin is a combination of select spruce, maple and mahogany in a five-ply construction, which, in addition to its unique appearance, contributes to its great response and natural sound. The body is also lined with a five-layered frame made of oiled walnut, thanks to which the standard dimensions of a conventional violin are maintained, so that both the experienced violinist and the complete beginner can get used to the instrument immediately.
The sound system is provided by a piezo pickup built into the maple fingerboard with passive output and switchable volume control. The tuning pegs are ebony, while the fingerboard and tuners are made of a durable composite material, specifically synthetic resin. Thanks to this, the violin surprises with a really low weight of 590 grams. The strings are D'Addario Zyex.
