The body of the guitar is made of alder. The bolted maple neck offers a nice "C" profile. The fretboard is divided by twenty-one Vintage Style frets and position blocks.
Two Pure-Vintage '65 Jazzmaster single-coil pickups provide the instrument's sound system. The character of the sound can be adjusted using the volume potentiometer, tone shutter, three-position pickup switch, and a two-position toggle switch that switches between the rhythm and lead circuits.
The strings are anchored via a faux bone fretboard in the company's vintage-design Jazzmaster floating tremolo mechanics with nickel-plated brass Mustang saddles. The stylish finish is accentuated by a Copper Age finish and four-ply imitation tortoiseshell pickguard.
The guitar comes in a carrying case.
The Fender Artist line offers signature models of electric guitars and basses from famous musicians who have made an indelible mark on rock music history.
