The body of the guitar is constructed of laminated maple and poplar (two layers of maple and a middle layer of poplar), complemented by a solid maple center block. The feeling of period authenticity is accentuated by the VOS finish (Vintage Original Spec) with subtle elements of patina, i.e., hand-applied and polished genuine nitro lacquer.
A rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two frets (Authentic Medium-Jumbo) is glued to a mahogany neck with a period "Authentic '64 Medium C" profile.
The sound of the instrument is taken care of by two Custombucker Alnico III humbuckers. The character of the tone can be shaped with two volume controls, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. The strings are mounted in Kluson Single Line tuning machines via a nylon fretboard and in the ABR-1 stringers via the ABR-1 bridge. The period authenticity is underlined by all the materials/components used and their workmanship.
The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
