There are few electric guitars that can be said to be as classic or legendary as the Les Paul model from American manufacturer Gibson.The 1960 Les Paul Special Double Cut Reissue VOS is a historically authentic "reissue" model from the Gibson Custom Shop that harks back to the 1960 design.
The body of the instrument is made from a single piece of mahogany. A special VOS (Vintage Original Specs) finish gives the guitar the authentic look and feel of the originals. Glued to the mahogany neck is a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two frets (Authentic Medium Jumbo). Orientation on the fingerboard surface is facilitated by imitation mother-of-pearl position dots.
The sound of the instrument is handled by two P-90 pickups in a soap bar design, which provide the guitar with a wide range of tones with a characteristic Gibson imprint - from crystal clear to full singing rock crunch. Two volume potentiometers, two tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust the sound. Stable tuning is guaranteed by the Kluson Strip and wraparound string attachments. The period authenticity is underlined by all the materials/components used and their workmanship.
The guitar comes in a case with a certificate of authenticity.
