The Classic T guitar in Trans Butterscotch finish will surely never leave your hands. The body of the instrument is made of swamp ash, the maple neck is glued to a maple fingerboard fitted with twenty-two stainless steel frets (.055 "x.090"). The 60's C Vintage Standard neck profile and compound fingerboard radius (9-12 inches) also contribute to the instrument's great playability.
The two Classic T single-coil pickups give the guitar a superbly clear sound with a modern Tele fret "made by Suhr" - plus, thanks to SSCII technology, completely free of the characteristic annoying single-coil noise. Standard sound adjustments are made using the volume knob, tone control and three-position pickup switch.
Tuning stability, great sustain and fast string changes are guaranteed by the TusQ zero fret string attachment in the company's 18:1 ratio locking gears and a solid Wilkinson cob with three brass saddles and string anchor through the body.
The guitar comes in a gig bag.
John Suhr has over 35 years of musical instrument building experience under his belt, during which time he has made a deep mark on the musical community with the top of the line "Pensa-Suhr" (as guitar builder) guitars and basses that have been played by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Lou Reed and many others in the 80's, or as a Senior Master Builder in the Fender Custom Shop in the 90's. However, John didn't have complete control over the entire manufacturing process, so in 1997 he decided to start his own Suhr brand. So you can be assured of the highest possible standards of quality when it comes to Suhr guitars, basses, instruments or pedal effects. Permanent clients of the Suhr brand include Peter Frampton, Michael Landau, Scott Henderson and Doug Aldrich.
