The Fender Thinline series features a semi-hollow body design and the typical F cutaway. The body of the guitar itself is made of nato wood, visually similar to mahogany. The maple fingerboard is fitted with twenty-one Narrow Tall frets, and orientation on its surface is traditionally facilitated by black position dots.
Two proprietary single-coil pickups with Alnico magnets give the guitar a sound with authentic Fender character. Volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch are used to adjust settings.
The strings are mounted in the company's vintage-style mechanics and in a solid cob with three saddles and string anchoring through the body. The visual aspect of the instrument is suitably complemented by nickel hardware, a four-ply imitation mother-of-pearl pickguard and the company logo on the headstock.
