The body of the guitar is made of alder. A maple neck with a traditional U profile and a 9.85-inch radius is bolted to a maple fingerboard fitted with twenty-two jumbo-sized frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position dots.
The combination of two Seymour Duncan pickups, a Hot Tele single-coil bridge and a '59 neck humbucker with the character of the original PAF pickups, gives the guitar a cool blues/rock feel. Standard sonic adjustments include volume potentiometers, tone controls and a three-position pickup switch. The strings are mounted in the company's LTD Vintage tuning machines and in a solid bridge with an anchor through the body of the guitar. Classic touches are complemented by white binding and a handy pickguard.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
ESP has been making electric guitars since 1984 and its satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
