The body of the guitar is made of mahogany and maple top. The neck is composed of three pieces of mahogany with a set-thru construction, i.e. the neck is recessed deeper into the body, and a narrower fast Thin U profile is glued to a fingerboard made of Makasar ebony with (for a single-cuta) a longer 648 mm gauge, fitted with twenty-four Extra Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by position blocks.
A Bare Knuckle passive humbucker at the bridge position gives the instrument's sound a modern twist with amplified bass response, punchy mids and precise tonal articulation in the treble. The strings are held in the company's high quality locking mechanisms and solid Tonepros Locking TOM tailpiece and stringer. The guitar's interesting design is accentuated by contrasting gold hardware.
The guitar is supplied in a case.
ESP has been manufacturing electric guitars since 1984 and satisfied customers include Kirk Hammett, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood and Max Cavalera. Due to the popularity of these instruments, a subsidiary company, LTD, has been formed to offer popular models in an affordable option. However, even in the case of ESP-LTD guitars, great emphasis is placed on the quality of workmanship and fitted components.
