EVENTIDE Rose

The Eventide Rose breaks away from the H9's line of complex corporate stompboxes and offers more "hands-on" control, where in the vast majority of cases you can get by with switching using two footswitches. This is a versatile delay effect that combines digital technology with a purely analogue BBD platform to offer a completely different sonic experience than modern DSP effects can provide. If you're looking for a compact delay pedal that offers a wide range of original pitch shift/arpeggiation-based modulations, reverse delay or radical filters, with real-time editing capabilities in addition to the standard effects, then it's time to look for this pedal.

The effect offers six basic controls, three of which (Mix, Filter, Feedback) within the analogue path and three digital (Delay, Rate, Depth), five basic editable presets based on delay or chorus, a delay time (effect delay) of up to 10 seconds max and selectable effect modulation sources (Sine, Square, Random, Envelope filter, External). The button with the Fi symbol changes the standard delay to a more radical reverse delay effect, the button with the Delta symbol multiplies (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x ) the delay time, so that its maximum value is up to a hard to believe 50 seconds.

The second switch (Hotswitch) can be assigned Tap Tempo, Infinite Repeat, A/B switching offering five more presets including Leslie cabinet simulation (Rotary), LFO Hold and LFO reset. Individual effect parameters can also be controlled via the expression pedal. Other pluses include a USB connector for easy editing of individual preset parameters in the editing software and downloading software updates, a Line/Instrument switch at the input jack for instruments with different signal levels, and selectable bypass (Relay, Buffered, Input Kill).

A 9V adapter is used to power the pedal.
