IBANEZ EH10-TGM

This electric guitar from the Japanese brand Ibanez is the signature model of Eric Hansel, an American guitarist from an emerging generation of bands that are bringing instrumental prog rock back to the forefront.

The body of the guitar is made of exotic nyato wood and walnut top. The bolted maple neck is glued to a jatoba fingerboard fitted with twenty-four jumbo stainless steel frets. The neck has undergone a heat treatment process prior to assembly, which has improved the wood's properties (stability, durability, resistance to water and temperature fluctuations) while giving it a nice vintage feel thanks to its darkening. Orientation around the fingerboard surface is facilitated by offset position blocks and luminescent markers on the side.

The combination of two passive Seymour Duncan pickups, i.e. a Hyperion humbucker with Alnico 5 magnets and an Alnico II Pro neck single, gives the instrument a balanced sound with a milder output signal. As a result, purity of tone and punch dynamics are maintained even with hi-gain distortion. Volume and tone potentiometers are used to adjust the sound. You can select between pickups with a standard three-position switch and a coil-tap switch, which when activated splits the humbucker coils for a pure single-coil sound. Tuning stability is guaranteed by the string attachment in Gotoh Magnum Lock locking mechanisms and Gotoh T1502 single-turn tremolo. The stylish look of the guitar is accentuated by the Transparent Green Matte finish, chrome hardware and a practical pickguard.
