The Vox MVX150 series brings the next step in the use of Nutube's new generation of vacuum tubes. These are all-tube instruments with Nutube tubes in both the preamplifier and the final amplifier. The latter is exceptional in its small size, low power consumption and gives the amps and combos a sound indistinguishable from conventional all-tube machines. In addition to the sound, it perfectly reproduces the dynamic character and feel of tube amplifiers, including natural distortion.
The MVX150C1 guitar combo features 150 watts of power and two channels. Country, blues, classic rock, heavy metal, and more modern hard rock and core players will find it to their liking. In addition to the traditional potentiometers for adjusting volume, gain and EQ, each channel has several lever switches to fine-tune the sound to your exact requirements. The final cosmetic touch to the sound is the Presence and Resonance controls in the amp's end section. Many will also appreciate the high-quality built-in digital reverb.
The amp's end section uses NuPower technology, which combines Nutube with elements of transistorized amplifiers, taking advantage of the benefits of both technologies.
On the rear panel, you'll find send/return effect loops, inputs for two footswitches (not included), two speaker outputs with 16, 8 and 4 ohm impedances, a Wet Only output and a line output with speaker emulation that you can send the signal directly to the mixer.
At the heart of the cabinet is a 12-inch Celestion G12H-150 Redback speaker with 4 Ohms impedance.
