The Hot Rod DeVille 212 IV is a new addition to Fender's very popular Hot Rod line of tube machines. It is a three-channel guitar combo with a classic black vinyl cover and grill cloth front in silver. At its heart are two twelve-inch Celestion speakers that give the machine a balanced sound across the frequency spectrum with the typical warm character of Fender tube machines.
The three channels of the combo (Clean, Drive, More Drive) offer everything sonically from crystal clear tones to blues/rock crunch to full rock ovedrive. The character of the sound can be adjusted with the three-band EQ and Presence potentiometer, while the clean channel also features a Normal/Bright switch. The built-in spring reverb is the icing on the sonic cake, adding another dimension to the instrument's sound.
The combo also offers the possibility of connecting external effects to the effects loop and outputs to an external speaker and footswitch (a two-channel footswitch is included). A moulded plastic handle ensures easy handling.
