Melody Maker is a diatonic harmonica designed for playing in the cross harp style, i.e. in the second position. Unlike diatonic major harmonicas, it allows the entire major scale to be played without the need for bending techniques. Primarily, it is a great choice for musical genres such as Country, R&B, Reggae, Pop, World music and others where the emphasis is on standard melody. It also allows for bending techniques on breathy notes, but for a blues night out, choose a different kind of harmonica.

The harmonica features a moisture-resistant plastic body, brass keys and a stainless steel cover. Full tone, good sound projection and great intonation are a given with these harmonicas.

Company founder Lee Oskar is well known for his long tenure (1969-1993) in the legendary jazz/funk formation WAR made famous by the hit Low Rider. The first harmonicas with his logo were introduced in 1983.
