The Laney LX Series is the right choice for beginners or more advanced players, offering quality sound at an affordable price. While this is the entry-level line of guitars offered by this British manufacturer, there's certainly no reason to worry that they'll be ripped off in any way - you can expect a beautiful clean sound from the LX, as well as a very refined, heavily distorted sound and anything in between.
The LX 35R is a two-channel transistor unit that is fitted with a ten-inch driver. This makes it an ideal solution for home playing or sound reinforcement in smaller spaces.
All controls can be found on the front panel. Behind the guitar input is the Volume control for adjusting the overall volume and the On switch, which activates the second channel. Use the Crunch and Master potentiometers to set the desired level of distortion and volume. Use the XTS switch to quickly mute mids and highlight key frequencies. Both channels share a common three-band EQ, and there's a headphone output and stereo input for jamming with your favorite recordings or backing tracks.
You'll love the built-in Reverb to give your playing a sense of space, and the footswitch input to control reverb and channel switching (not included). You can also connect an external speaker to the combo (the integrated speaker is in bypass mode in this case).
