The body of this guitar is made of five layers of laminated maple, protected by a glossy lacquer finish. The edges of the body are trimmed with an edge band. The neck is glued to the body and is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Of course, there is an adjustable bracing. The gauge of the instrument is 625 mm, the width of the zero fret is 43 mm.
The sound is captured by two Black Top Filter Tron humbuckers, which can be switched between using a three-position switch to connect both at once or each pickup separately. Volume controls for each pickup are used to further shape the tone, and the overall sound can be fine-tuned using the overall volume and tone shutter controls.
The strings are mounted in a Bigsby tremolo and pass through an Adjusto-Matic headstock supported by a rosewood block. This gives the guitar a very rich reverb. The vintage-style open tuning machines are, like the rest of the hardware, gold. The instrument's lacquer finish is protected from pick strikes by a removable Plexi pickguard, which is also gold.
Gretsch guitars are favoured by many of the world's guitarists and they'll know why. Come see for yourself the qualities of this instrument.
