Jackson's history dates back to the 1970s and intersects with the turbulent rise of hard music styles rooted in metal. Legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads (Ozzy Osbourne) has a hand in this, as he and Jackson designers drew the Concorde guitar design on a paper napkin in the early 1980s, redefining the sound of the metal guitar forever.

The body of this guitar is made of mahogany. The maple neck with graphite bracing reinforcement is bolted to the body.
