FENDER JAZZMASTER

First introduced in 1958, this guitar was intended to be more high-end than the Stratocaster or Telecaster. Although it was built mainly for jazz musicians, it made its name mainly through surf rock, and today it is presented by many guitarists from the alternative rock waters. Produced between 1958 and 1977, it has been back in production since 1993.

ARTIST

The Artist series offers the best of what Fender produces - for these are the signature instruments of the most famous and demanding musicians, to name but a few, Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore, Steve Ray Vaughan, Mark Knopfler, Jeff Beck, Eric Johnson, Dave Murray, Yngwie Malmsteen.

This particular model is based on the ideas of Troy Van Leeuwen, guitarist of A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Puscifer and others.

Body and neck

The Jazzmaster has an asymmetrical body with a cutout below the neck and a cutaway above it, and is made of alder, with a 4-ply pickguard under the strings. The neck is made of maple and has a C profile. The fingerboard is rosewood, has a radius of 7.25 inches and features 21 Vintage Style frets

Pickups and electronics

This guitar features two single-coil American Vintage Fender pickups specifically designed for Jazzmasters. The pickups are switched by a 3-position switch (bridge / both pickups / neck), to maximize the variability of the sound there are Rhythm and Lead "channels", each with separate Volume and Tone.

Hardware

The hardware is chrome and nickel plated, the headstock features Vintage Style mechanics typical of Fender on one side, the tailpiece matches the Vintage Style type with a tremolo and the strings are therefore anchored directly into it. The instruments are factory strung with Fender Super 250R strings, Nickel Plated Steel .010 - .046.

The Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster guitar, which is especially suitable for players looking for an unconventional sound and originality with a vintage sound concept and a wide range of possibilities. With its sound and other qualities it will surely win you over.
