The bongo drums from the Free Ride series are especially suitable for the more demanding beginner or advanced player looking for percussion with a great price/quality ratio. Compared to most competitors, Free Ride offers a truly professional quality and sound.
This particular bongo drum is handmade from a selection of so-called Rubber Wood, which is the wood of the Hevea brasiliensis tree, and a selection of cowhide leather is used for the soundboard - a completely ideal material for achieving a balanced sound. The diameter of the smaller drum is 7 inches, the diameter of the larger one is equivalent to 8.5 inches.
The steel hardware is chrome plated. The SSR-Rims are 3 millimetres thick, the shells are even 8 millimetres thick. For optimal sound, the patented MEINL Free Ride Suspension System is used. With the drums you also get a tuning wrench, oil for lubrication and an accessory bag.
