The ZED-12FX has six mic/line inputs and three stereo line inputs. There are also 2x AUX pre-faders and 2x AUX post-faders, one of which is used for the internal effects unit. There is a 3-band EQ on all microphone inputs with re-tuned mids (only a 2-band EQ on the line inputs). Microphone channel insertion is commonplace, and you'll certainly be pleased to see the main outputs insertion as well, which is not entirely common on desks this small. And there are also the classic REC OUT and 2TRK RTN connectors for connecting recording and playback equipment. An interesting feature is the ALT OUT output via the CINCH connectors, which is suitable for connecting a monitor at the sound engineer's workstation. Like all ZED series consoles, the ZED-12FX has a USB port for connection to a computer.
Overall, the ZED-12FX is a compact mixer, with a good number of inputs and good equipment, which will find a use wherever quality of a reputable brand, reliability, easy operation and all this at a very affordable price is required.
