Old Fender instruments in their original factory custom-painted colors are one of the most attractive things for vintage guitar lovers. Moreover, when it comes to the "matching headstock" variant, i.e. the custom colour on the body as well as on the headstock.
This Jazz Bass dates from the turn of 1965/1966, the neck is dated November 7 ´65, the potentiometers week 42 ´65. Serial number 120300 indicates that the bass probably left the factory in 1966.
The bass is in 100% playable condition; bracing is functional; neck is straight; electronics are original; lacquer is original.
The fingerboard is re-pressed; the zero fret is new bone. There were probably originally Fender Lolipop mechanicals on the bass, but now there are old Fender vintage (1966 and earlier) mechanicals, but it is possible that these are original - in any case, there are screw holes for other mechanicals under the mechanicals. The grasshopper is original, but apparently there was a Badass grasshopper for a long time judging by the dents in the paintwork. The pickguard may be original or from the early 70s; it is glued in one corner.
This is an authentic one-off that will surprise you with its versatile and balanced sound.
This not only collectible artifact is sold including the original pickup covers and case in BAZAAR VAT. The instrument also comes with a CITES certificate.
