The D'Angelico electric guitar strings are based on the original concept that the company came up with in its heyday, in the first half of the twentieth century. They are the only strings on the market made of galvanized steel. This material gives the strings a full, resonant sound with a balanced degree of tonal brightness. This is why their distinctive sound can be heard on many legendary recordings from the mid-twentieth century. After the closure of the American Bethlehem Steel plant in the 1960s, their production was discontinued.
Now these legendary strings are making a comeback in the form of the Electrozinc series. They use EXP technology, which protects the metal strings with a micro-layer of special material that serves as a highly durable protection against damage while making playing more enjoyable.
