This style-focused instrument is the latest model in the top-of-the-line Pa5X professional arranger range. In addition to the versatile palette of sounds you'd get by buying a standard Pa5X model, ORIENTAL offers you essentially the same (more than 2200 classical sounds and 630 styles), but you also get all the possible instruments characteristic of Arabic, Persian and Turkish music (240 instruments, 70 drum kits and 264 styles).

Korg Pa5X features more than 2,000 inspiring sounds and hundreds of new styles, instantly accessible in a comfortable working environment. An all-new front panel with assignable PadMatrix and Mixer sections, multi-colored LED buttons and a large, tiltable touchscreen display puts you in control of your music making at all times. The Pa5X excels as a tool for live playing and as a powerful creative tool in the studio, allowing you to find your ideal sound no matter where your music is going.

Pa5X sounds range from extremely realistic acoustic instruments, to vintage electric keyboards, to synth classics, complete with fantasy sounds and special effects for media and film production. Plus, you can create your own styles or record MIDI and MP3 songs to save to the Songbook database.

Model Pa5X - 76 semi-weighted keyboard with aftertouch for added expressiveness. At the heart of the instrument is the high-performance EDS-XP sound processor, which offers 24 stereo oscillators and 160-voice polyphony, and also brings new high-end features such as Round-Robin for drums and percussion, Smooth Sound Transition, Sound-Controller 3 and many more. The Pa5X features an 8" flip-up touchscreen display with a very hilarious graphical user interface and a fully programmable controller section with 9 buttons and 9 sliders. You can assign any function to it, from mixer volume to stick settings, to mic mute and inverse bass, to text scroll commands and more. There's a range of controllers for real-time expressive playing, and Korg's DNC (Defined Nuance Control) technology is the source of much of the sonic detail. Faders, switches, real and virtual real-time control matrices, joystick and ribbon controller can be assigned to modulate any audio parameter.

A microphone and guitar can be connected simultaneously to the Pa5X's separate audio inputs. In addition, KORG has extensive experience in vocal harmonization technology and guitar effects processing, so each of these inputs is equipped with specific special effects. The fully independent guitar input has its own input signal control, and the guitar effects include vintage pedals and instrument simulators to further enhance the sound and performance of the guitar. There are many predefined guitar presets, up to 4 insert effects, and you can also easily create and save your own effect presets.

Pa5X offers high connectivity options. MIDI and USB can be used for controllers or external drives, HDMI for external display, XLR and Jack audio jacks for connecting condenser and dynamic microphones, guitars and basses. There are four independent outputs for external mixing and a main stereo output for connecting to speakers or PA systems. Three pedal inputs allow connection of your preferred damper pedal (with half-pedal support), footswitch, volume and expression pedal. The master is also compatible with the optional Korg PaAS MK2 sound system, which connects directly to the chassis.
