Acoustic guitars from the J-45 series are among the most famous and popular instruments produced by the American company Gibson. The first guitars with this designation were introduced to the public in 1942. From the very beginning, they have been described by the manufacturer as "workhorse", i.e. maximally practical instruments without significant cosmetic accessories, suitable for everyday gigging.

The front of the J-45 Studio Rosewood Satin Natural is made of Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of rosewood. Unlike the older "slim" J-45 Studio models, this is a standard depth instrument. The resonance of the top is supported by hand-cut X-type ribbing, the body is covered by a thin layer of satin lacquer made of nitrocellulose. A sipo/utile neck with Advanced Response profile is glued to a rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty Standard-size frets. Orientation on the fingerboard is facilitated by pearl position dots.

The strings are held in place by Grover Rotomatic tuning machines and a rosewood fingerboard via the TusQ zero and saddle frets. The stylish finish is accentuated by the double-sided perimeter body binding and imitation tortoiseshell pickguard.

High-quality acoustic sound transmission is guaranteed by LR Baggs Element Bronze active electronics. The guitar is supplied in a case.
