Jet-type electric guitars, whether they are models from the basic Electromatic series or the higher Professional series, are united by the use of a solid body with one or two cutouts. These are very versatile instruments that can be used in a wide range of musical styles without any problems.
The lightweight chambered body of the G5232T Electromatic Double Jet FT Caicos Green guitar is covered by an arched maple top. Glued to the mahogany neck with a Thin U profile is a fig fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Orientation on its surface is facilitated by offset position markers made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Neo-Classic Thumbnail).
The two Black Top Filter'Tron humbuckers accentuate the acoustic properties of the chambered body and provide the guitar with a balanced transparent sound with the necessary amount of clarity universally suitable for many musical styles, i.e. crystal clear tone and aggressive overdrive, depending on the player's needs. Controls in the form of two volume potentiometers (for each humbucker separately), a tone shutter, overall instrument volume with Treble Bleed circuit (allowing Master Volume to be pulled down without accentuating bass frequencies) and a three-position pickup switch offer comprehensive control over the character of the sound.
The strings are mounted in the company's die-cast tuning machines via a faux bone fretboard and in a licensed Bigsby B50 tremolo via an Adjusto-Matic adjustable tailpiece. The instrument's stylish design is accentuated by traditional elements in the form of a bright perimeter body trim complemented by black and white lines, chrome hardware and a Silver Plexi pickguard with black Gretsch corporate logo.
