The Les Paul Standard '60s Plain Top Ebony Top features a mahogany body and maple top, which is adorned with a gloss lacquer finish and Ebony color scheme. Glued to the mahogany neck with a comfortable "Slim Taper" profile is an Indian rosewood fingerboard fitted with twenty-two Medium Jumbo frets. Positioning blocks made of imitation mother-of-pearl (Acrylic Trapezoid) facilitate orientation on its surface.
The sound of the instrument is provided by two 60s Burstbucker humbuckers with Alnico V magnets. Their expressive tone refers to later models of PAF pickups. The pickups are hand soldered to volume and tone potentiometers and "orange drop" capacitors. The pickups can be switched between by a three-position switch. Stable tuning is ensured by mounting the strings via the ABR 1 Tune-O-Matic bridge in the stringers and via the Graphtech zero fret in the Grover Rotomatics tuning machines. The stylish design of the instrument is accentuated by nickel hardware and a bright pickguard.
The guitar comes in a case with a set of accessories.
