The Malibu Player Olympic White is an electroacoustic guitar with a smaller body in the style of Parlor models and a shorter scale. This makes it a suitable choice for players with smaller fingers, or conversely, a challenge to play chords in normally unplayable fingerings. The front of the guitar is made of solid Sitka spruce, while the back and sides are made of laminated sapele. Glued to the nato wood neck with a narrower easy-to-play "Slim C" profile is a walnut fingerboard fitted with twenty frets, orientation across its surface facilitated by position dots.
True amplification of the natural acoustic sound is guaranteed by a Fishman Flex preamp with Volume and Tone controls in the back of the guitar. The strings are mounted in Graphtech NuBone material across the zero and saddle frets in the company's 6-in-line electric guitar design and Modern Viking headstock. The stylish finish is accentuated by the Aged White body binding, imitation tortoiseshell pickguard and nickel hardware.
